We begin with an initial consultation to discuss your goals and needs. From there, we create a customized plan for you and provide ongoing support tailored around your needs and your budget.

Tutors can be wonderful resources for targeted skill support and short-term academic goals. Need help preparing for Friday’s quiz or extra practice with a current classroom skill? Traditional tutoring can be a great fit for many students. 

An Adjust The Angle Learning Specialist goes beyond helping students “get through” the next assignment or test. The focus is not only on what a student is struggling with, but why the learning barrier exists in the first place.

Rather than relying solely on memorization tricks or shortcuts that expire, we work to identify how your child learns best and develop strategies that make sense for their unique brain, learning profile, and experiences. Our goal is to build conceptual understanding, confidence, and flexible thinking skills that continue to support learning long after a test is over.

Another key difference is vertical alignment experience. Many educators and tutors work primarily within one grade band or subject area. Learning Specialists bring experience across Kinder through 12th grade learning progressions and all core subjects, allowing us to see how skills build, connect, and evolve year over year. This broader perspective helps identify missing foundational concepts, multi-year gaps, and hidden learning barriers that may not be obvious when only viewing the current grade level. 

Yes — client sessions may be audio or video recorded for educational and documentation purposes unless a parent or guardian requests otherwise.

Our goal is always to support thoughtful, individualized instruction while maintaining respect for student privacy and family preferences. Because every student receives individualized support, recordings help your Learning Specialist accurately track student progress, reflect on instructional strategies, and document which approaches are most effective for each learner over time. In some cases, secure AI-supported tools may also help organize notes, generate session summaries, or create transcripts that support planning and record-keeping.

These recordings — including occasional images or snapshots of student work — are used solely to support instruction, communication, planning, and student growth. They are never shared publicly or used for marketing purposes without separate written permission from a parent or guardian.

At times, brief clips or examples from a session may be shared privately with a parent, student, teacher, or other approved individual to highlight growth or demonstrate an impactful learning moment. Hearing that your child has grown in an area is great, but watching the lightbulb moment as it happens can become a priceless moment to share together with your child.

We understand that every family has different comfort levels regarding recordings and technology. If you prefer that no recordings occur during your child’s sessions, please let us know and we will gladly accommodate your preference using alternative methods of documentation and note-taking.
